Hi, im stuck at the house where you find a frozen corpse.
I have found a hatch or metal box in the floor but i dont know how to open it. When i press tip it says that i should do something with the stones outside to find out the code but i dont understand what it is i am supposed to do and with what items? Thx in advance
ok you need to get the trap door/ hatch open to progress. firstly walk past the corpse and go up the ladder to a room with a telescope. here you will find a compass, handle and a book of ancient signs. did you peice together the scraps of paper on the desk showing a circular pattern ? you will need this info as well as what you learn from the book. then use your camera on the stones surrounding the house
go back down the ladder and into the room with the large table follow the footsteps and look closer at the table.
hopefully this will help. I should have the full walkthrough done soon but if you need anymore help please ask

im stuck in dungeon(where those insects attacks you, but thats not problem, i got suit that protect me and have flashlight on it as well \o/)
However, im having hard time finding “code” (something i read in diary that “its morse code” but have no idea where to look)
and having problem starting that “resurrection” machine (listened one cylinder-not very useful, and other i found seem gone void).
so, some tips would be more than welcomed

back out of screen and click on the panel containing the combination lock to get a hole to insert capsule
after you complete the regeneration machine a cutscene will follow.
you will then have to go back down to the underground chambers
after you get bitten by the insects you’ll be able to hear some sounds coming from the pit in the middle of the underground chamber. These are morse codes of a word which is the code of the locked metal door. If you listen to them carefully and check the morse code explanation on the desk in the room with the safe on desk.

Thanks dude, but somehow game “ate” my second cylinder! (tho i had pretty much hard time listening and clearing first one). And i havent hear any voices since i always wore that suit

actually currently main thing that piss me off is to clean cylinders from noise, because, correct me if im wrong, its pretty much trial and error, without any “puzzle” touch… move buttons till somehow they drop into “accepted” position…
I found the cylinders to be ok it was listening for the morse code was more difficult. I did find a lot of the puzzles however were a matter of working at it until it works. sometimes logic doesnt apply and like you say some of the action spots for picking up objects etc. can be quite small and require a lot of hovering with the mouse.
but its still quite exceptional when you think three guys did this on their own without the benefits of a big studio
nono, its actually great.. i cant recall when was last time i played horror adventure that actually make sense… to be honest, that was probably “Alone in the dark” (but not this modern one, i meant those 1 and 2, with that silly graphics, but wonderful story…) There are few glitches here and there, but it is pretty cool considering all you mention…

Finished it on my own on what appeared to be “good side” ending (no didnt got all secrets, will have to check your walk through to get them all), little dissapointed since its too short, good story tho… too bad there is no more adventures like this…
glad you enjoyed it too ! i wonder what Zoetrope’s next project will be. darkness within was initially to be a trilogy but they managed to complete it within two games

you shouldve got a capsule from the frozen corpse and another capsule from the cupboard in the room with all the insects. Combine these two capsules in inventory and insert the resulting capsule in the machine

there’s a large glass panel on the front of the machine if you look just below it there’s a panel. click on it to open.
what exactly happened with the cylinders so I can send details to the developers if its a bug ?

You’re so kind trying to help me but it wont work..
I’ ve already found the panel your talking about, but when i click on it doesn’t open, just says “…kind of ressurection machine” the same that it says when you also examine the whole machine!
As for the cylinders, i took both from the boxe but somehow i “lost” the one that says the code. So i cant move on cause the panel wont open and the cylinder is lost!!
p.s. I didn’t do many saves, so i’m afraid i have to restart the game?? And what if it happens again??

Bella just check the box in the cupboard again to make sure the cylinders still not there.
The panel probably wont move until you have done everything else to the machine up to this point.
If you still dont have any luck I’ll send you a save game just before the machine

Something usefull I found out :when you take the cylinders dont put them together in mind invetory.
If you do that the first one gets lost!
So players out there be carefull and make a lot of saves!!

I’m experiencing a strange problem, maybe you have encountered it too?
It’s in the scene, when Howard finds the necklace on the statue of a gorilla. I press “Examine”, he finds it, but then there is no “take” button – only the arrow to leave the “Examine” screen.
And the screen is pointing at gorilla’s face, there is no necklace on it – is this a glitch or I’m missing something?

No, it’s not! I can see it on the gorilla, but I can’t take it.
When I switch to “Examine” screen it simply shows the gorilla’s head, but the necklace is far below and I can’t take it

Please, give me a hand here… I followed your instructions very carefully in order to get to those underground galleries of the old building. Well, I have come across the part where a mechanism needs to be activated. I found the both cylinders, both capsules, the can of gas, everything i need. I opened that secret panel using the code heard from the cylinder. The instructions say i should assemble the two capsules and insert them in the slot of the machine, but when i try doing that, he says “No! It won`t work.” Please help me out….

Yes, i did, i have put the capsule found on the frozen body and the metallic one from the insect covered closet in the gallery together in the mind slot…When i try applying the assembled capsule to the slot, it doesent work. What do I do?
did you go back talk to Henry and ask to decipher more of the book?
