Iceberg Interactive secure publishing rights for Adam’s Venture: Solomon´s Secret

Iceberg Interactive today announced that they have acquired the worldwide publishing rights to the second episode of Adam’s Venture, “Adam’s Venture: Solomon´s Secret”. Not much has been revealed yet other than :

In this second installment of the episodic series, Adam Venture and his crew end up in 1920’s Jerusalem after having escaped alive from the Caverns of Eden. On their continuous search for the Lost Garden of Eden, they become entangled in a thickening plot featuring a ruthless dig for the ancient King Solomon’s treasure – but is that really all there is to it? Not all is as it seems…

introduction to Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island

Lace Mamba Global have released details of the three playable characters from their new PC game Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island due out February 19th 2010.

All three playable characters recently turned into ghosts and are now looking for chances to get back into their living bodies.

Nancy Drew and the Secret of Shadow Ranch Review

Nancy Drew and the Secret of Shadow Ranch is the tenth game ( so far there have been twenty one releases in total )in Her Interactive’s teen adventure series  and, as the name suggests , has a wild west theme. While Her Interactive’s target remains adventure titles for the teen and younger girl market, there’s nothing to say that their titles can’t be enjoyed by the older gamer. The games themselves stick to the same presentation formula. The opening menu, inventory tools, opening music all will be familiar to anybody who has played any of the other titles and even some of the characters voices will have be recognisable. Fortunately  the titles are based in such varied locations and each with their own individual theme there is little chance of the gamer getting confused . The franchise is still going strong so maybe people like the sense of continuity or familiarity used within the titles.

Darksiders review (PS3)

Darksiders is the latest title from THQ and the first from Vigil studios (a division of THQ) . The first indication of Darksiders was way back in 2007 and the PR campaign has been feeding us with titbits on a regular basis ever since so to say expectations were high for this game would have been an understatement.  Not only does Darksiders aim to be an action packed thrill ride from start to finish but it also is designed with brain racking puzzles inserted throughout, so that the game provides on both the God of War and (the likes of )Zelda templates of gameplay that it has been so obviously designed around. So many titles have tried and failed to imitate these two great franchises so will Darksiders finally be the one that not only is able to follow in their footsteps but also be able to incorporate both styles of gameplay smooth?
